We’re sure you’ve heard them before, but what do they mean at HYPE*?
Our programs are designed around what is important to you from our first meeting. You tell us what you want to get out of HYPE* - what your 5-year vision is. From there, we help you set goals to get there, creating a personalised plan together. We are collaborative at our core, and support you to guide the ship.
You already have things you're GREAT at! We work with you to identify these strengths and help you to build on them to develop new skills. Instead of focusing on what you can’t do yet, we build off the skills you already have. We believe everyone has the ability to learn, and we’re passionate about help you discover and apply your unique learning abilities!
At HYPE*, we use the science of learning and behavior, known as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), to support new learning. We gather data on our skill development programs to ensure they are effective and achieving the desired outcomes. By continuously monitoring this data and your feedback, we make necessary adjustments to improve the programs. For more information on ABA, check out our resource.
Being neurodiversity affirming means recognising that all types of brains are equally valuable and valid. It involves respecting and appreciating the different ways people think and experience the world. At HYPE* this looks like accepting and supporting differences in communication, social interaction, sensory needs, behaviour, and learning. Check out our resources on Neurodiversity Affirming Practices and Neurodiversity Affirming ABA to find out more about how ABA can be applied in a way that is supportive and empowering.
